VERSE
He remembers a day when cowboys were free
And life was at his command
And he road on his horse like a king through his court
A young man
VERSE
And the trail he called home was never too long
The nights lonely but his
BUILD
But know that the trail nears the end
He wishes he could ride it again
CHOURS
But just like a fire burns to coals
So must a Young Heart grow old
VERSE
Now he’s riding alone on a lonesome trail
He’s loved ones have all gone away
But he keeps pushing on though his body is tired
and the sun moves faster each day
BUILD
And now that he’s falling behind
He wishes he could turn back the time
CHORUS (Repeat)
BRIDGE
And he sits by his fire and he sets himself free
With memories that keep him from dying
And he talks of the past with a light in his eyes
But when he laughs it sounds like he’s crying
BUILD
And now that the trail nears the end
O’ he wishes he could ride it again
CHORUS (Repeat)
